Adopt a Chihuahua (short coat)

And now, a few words from the dog:

Here I come world, I have been told many wonderful things await me.  Little did I know that this world even existed.  I have finished my working years of puppy making, now it’s my turn to shine.  I am so full of love I could nearly burst so I hope I find my forever home soon.

 

And now, a few words from my foster mom: 

Salsa, is a tiny tri coloured chihuahua who has been released from a breeding facility.  As she has come from a place that has shown her limited kindness, human touch or fun, she has made such good progress  since arriving that she is now ready to look for her forever home and for someone to continue showing her the good things in life.  She was shy and hesitant when she arrived. Now she wants so badly to be loved? and will put her paws on your shoulder and lick your fingers. Slowly she is allowing us to pet her as she is gaining confidence that she will not be harmed. Someone who can continue to booster her confidence would allow her to blossom, is what she is looking for   She would be best with  a companion dog in her home as she takes comfort being near another dog and will take direction from what they are showing her.  House training is ongoing and on the really frigid days we have had we didn’t even take her out but are using pee pads. A securely fenced yard would aid in her learning and outside joy.

Salsa continues to entertain us with her cute little quirky personality. She had been hiding a few small toys but then she forgets where she hid them. After a while we saw her checking every nook and cranny trying to find things. Now she is carrying around a little stuffed lamb which is the same size as her and its even harder for her to hide it. This little ray of sunshine will brighten up your days and will just take up a tiny spot in your home.
